- Log in to your site via the address www.yoursite.com/administrator
- In your top menu, select 'Content - Article Manager'
- When the Article Manager page opens, click on 'New', a circular green button towards top right.
- Add a title to your article.
- Select the Section and Category that your article is to be stored in from the two dropdown menus.
- Select whether or not you want the article to appear on the front (home) page of your website.
- Using the menus to the right:
Add the text of your article into the main body on the page and edit it as required using the text editor panel above (text alignment, font, etc). If you are writing a long article, be sure to hit 'Apply' from time to time to ensure that changes are saved and you do not time out.
- Hit save, top right.
1. Paramaters (Article) - you can choose the dates that you would like your article to appear from and to, whether it is viewable by the public or only for those who can log in to your site and can also add an alias if you wish people to see who has written the article.
2. Parameters (Advanced) - you can also control these via your global settings. These drop down menus allow you to show and hide certain elements such as created date, author, etc.
3. Metadata Information - In the top box add a short phrase to sum up your article and in the next box add certain important (key) words from your article to help you to get found easier and attain a higher ranking in search engines.
